How It Works

Booking

Reserve your session during pregnancy when possible. If baby has already arrived, reach out as soon as you can.

Preparing

You’ll receive simple prep details, and I’ll plan the wraps, props, colors, and setups before your session.

The Session

I handle the posing, styling, and flow, with time for feeding, soothing, and settling as needed.

Image Selection

After your session, you’ll receive a proof gallery to choose your favorite images for final retouching.

Final Images & Artwork

Your finished images are delivered in an online gallery, with optional albums and printed artwork available.

the INVESTMENT

Newborn sessions begin at $550 and are designed with clear time, setup, and family-inclusion options, so you can choose the session that best fits what you want photographed.

Each session includes the guided studio time, a curated proof gallery, and a set number of hand-retouched digital images selected by you.

A $250 deposit is required to reserve your session date and the balance is due the day of the session.

Your Questions

Ideally, book during your third trimester (around 28-32 weeks). I reserve a spot around your due date, then we finalize the session date once your baby arrives. This ensures you have priority on my calendar during those precious first weeks.

Newborn sessions are best scheduled within 1-3 weeks after birth when babies are sleepiest and naturally curl into those adorable poses.

No problem! Once you’re on my calendar with your due date, I keep flexibility around that timeframe. Simply text or call me within 24-48 hours of delivery and we’ll lock in your session date within the ideal 1-3 weeks window.

If your baby arrives significantly early and needs NICU time, we can adjust the schedule as needed. Your baby’s health comes first.

Just bring your baby and milk! I provide everything needed for a beautiful session:

All props, wraps, blankets, and setups
Cozy, warm studio environment
Patience and expertise

Helpful, but optional items to bring:

Pacifier (if baby uses one)
Extra diapers and wipes
Any special blankets or items you’d like incorporated (grandma’s heirloom blanket, etc.)

Parents are welcome to step in for family portraits, so wear something you feel comfortable in.

I’ve photographed hundreds of newborns—fussiness is completely normal and expected! Sessions are baby-led, meaning we pause for:

Feeding
Diaper changes
Soothing and comforting
Skin-to-skin time with parents

The studio is designed to be calming (warm, quiet, dim lighting), and I use gentle techniques to help babies settle. Most babies sleep peacefully once they’re comfortable, fed, and warm.

Yes, but it depends on availability. I can photograph babies at any age. However, after about 2-3 weeks, babies are more alert, less flexible, and may not achieve those classic curled “newborn” poses.

Older newborns (3-8 weeks) still make beautiful portraits—they’re just typically more awake and less likely to stay in posed positions. We focus on lifestyle shots, awake portraits, and natural moments instead.

When you get there, she has all of the props and photo stations set up but she asks you to take a look at everything and see if there’s anything you want changed. She has a wide variety of props and baby gear and she uses different props to give you choices.
